WEBSTER - Mildred B. (Maitland) Kindler, 77, of Lake Parkway was stricken ill and died yesterday in her home.
Her husband, Harold H. Kindler, died in 1965. She leaves a son, James M. Kindler of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.; a daughter, Diane E. Kindler of Portland, Maine; a brother, James Maitland; a sister, Madeline DeMague, both of Webster; and three grandchildren. She was born in Fall River, daughter of David and Mary (Greenwood) Maitland, and lived here most of her life.
She was a librarian for 15 years at the Chester C. Corbin Library, and was working there at the time of her death. Mrs. Kindler was a member of St. Louis Church and the Friends of the Chester C. Corbin Library. She was a former member of the Webster Women's Club, the Nichols College Women's Club in Dudley, the Tuesday Club and the Hubbard Regional Hospital Guild.
The funeral will be held Tuesday from Scanlon Funeral Home, East Main Street, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Church, 15 Lake St.

Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to Friends of the Chester C. Corbin Library, Lake Street, Webster, 01570.
