James J. McGill, 70, of 917 York Ave., a maintenance worker at Fram Corp. of East Providence for 47 years before retiring in 1983, died yesterday at home. He was the husband of Olga B. (Babota) McGill. Mr. McGill also was the husband of the late Theresa (Brouillard) McGill.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late John and Mary (McMann) McGill.
Mr. McGill was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Eugene T. Lefebvre Post 1271, V.F.W., of Central Falls.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Patricia Lanoie of Pawtucket; a brother, Joseph McGill of East Providence; two sisters, Celia McGill and Louise McGill, both of Pawtucket; three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mr. McGill also was the brother of the late Bernard McGill, Leo McGill, Mary Howe and Helen Byrnes.
The funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Leo the Great Church, 699 Central Ave. Burial, with military honors, will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. PLAC: Pawtucket, RI
