CATEGORY: Event TYPE: Obituary DATE: 1998 NOTE: SENECA, S.C. - Lucia (Benkel) Marotz, 96, of 161 McCracken Drive and formerly of Webster, died Dec. 19 at Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, Ga., after a short illness.
Her husband, Otto F. Marotz, died in 1957. She leaves a daughter, Edith L. Pierce of Seneca; three grandsons, Larry, Leland, and Christopher Pierce, all of Seneca; and two great-granddaughters, Deborah and Julia Pierce, both of Seneca.
While living in Webster, Mrs. Marotz was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
The graveside service in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster will be private. Robert J. Miller Funeral Home, 366 School St., Webster, is directing arrangements.
