OXFORD -- Marian E. (Thompson) Schremser, 75, of 15 George St., an employee of Stevens Linen Associates, died Thursday, Nov. 21, in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster, after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 55 years, Edmund C. ``Boots'' Schremser; a son, Robert C. Schremser of Dudley; a sister, Marjorie Schremser of Oxford; a granddaughter and several nieces. She was born in Oxford, daughter of Joseph and Gertrude (Sherwood) Thompson. She graduated form Oxford High School.
Mrs. Schremser worked for over 20 years at Stevens Linen Associates, Dudley, before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church, the Oxford Women's Club and was an amateur historian of the Town of Oxford. She enjoyed gardening and going to flea markets.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, in the Robert J. Miller-Oxford Funeral Home, 247 Main St. A burial service will be in North Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hubbard Regional Hospital, Transitional Care Unit, 340 Thompson Road, Webster, MA 01570, or Oxford United Methodist Church, 465 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
