MASSENA, N.Y. - Arthur C. Weinert, 74, of 152 McKinley Court, formerly of Webster, Mass., died Thursday in Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton, after a short illness.
Among his relatives, he leaves his wife, Mary (Goodale) Hockey Weinert; a sister, Edna E. Nourse of Northboro, Mass.; nephews and nieces. Mr. and Mrs. Weinert were married Dec. 26, 1981. He was born in Webster, Mass., son of Charles and Eugina (Redlitz) Weinert, and lived here 41 years.
He graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster and a watchmaking school at the former Waltham (Mass.) Watch Co.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Weinert was a radar technician for the St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corp. here for many years, retiring in 1986. He was previously a toolmaker at American Optical Co. in Southbridge, Mass.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Donaldson Funeral Home, 100 North Main St. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster, Mass. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 187 Main St., Massena, N.Y. 13662.
