CATEGORY: Event TYPE: Obituary DATE: 18 Oct 2013 NOTE: Evelyn A. (Spahl) Swierzbin, 93, of Stoughton Ave., passed away peacefully, on Friday, October 18, 2013 in her home. Her husband of 59 years, Alexander J. ‘Curly’ Swierzbin died June 24, 1999. She leaves a daughter, Lynne J. Lally of Southwick, MA. and a son, Mark A. Swierzbin and his wife Kathy of Webster, 3 grandchildren; James Swierzbin and his wife Hannah of Providence, R.I., Adam P. Lally and his wife Christine of Cold Spring, N.Y., and Justin Lally and his wife Kristi of West Springfield, and a great grand-daughter; Dilan P. Lally, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Evelyn was predeceased by a sister , Joyce A. Cozzens who died in 2010.
Evelyn was born in Webster, daughter of Oscar and Alice E. (Miller) Spahl and lived here all her life.Evelyn worked as a spinner at the former Anglo Fabrics Co. in Webster. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Oxford.
The Funeral will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10 AM in the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery next to her beloved husband Curly.
There are No Calling Hours as per Evelyn’s wishes.
