Linda M. (Batt) Malgieri
West Boylston - Linda M. (Batt) Malgieri , 69, died Thursday, January 3rd 2019 after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert "Bob" Malgieri
She is survived by her four sons; Scott M. Malgieri (Katherine) of Delran, NJ, Eric C. Malgieri (Erica) of Ellicott City, MD, Dr. Christopher J. Malgieri (Catherine) of East Greenwich, RI, and Michael R. Malgieri (Lauren) of Alexandria, VA. She had 9 grandchildren; Sarah, Anthony, Shaun, Daniel, Samantha, Abigail, Anna, Quinn and Maren. She was born in Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late Mitchell and Virginia (O'Connor) Batt.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of West Boylston High School and a 1972 graduate of Anna Maria College. Afterwards, she spent several years as an art teacher in Fitchburg before accompanying her husband to Spangdalem AFB, Germany for his assignment with the Air Force. In 1981, Linda and Bob relocated to State College, Pennsylvania where she finished her career at the State College Area School District as an office administrator in the State College High School Counseling office. Linda's home was her greatest gift; a loving atmosphere where she raised her children, welcomed her grandchildren, hosted family reunions, and visiting friends. She enjoyed travel, and reading, but most enjoyed spending time with her husband of 37 years. She spent her life as a strong and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will gather to honor Linda during visiting hours on, Wednesday, January 9th at the Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Her funeral will be held Thursday, January 10th from the funeral Home with A Mass of Christina Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Interment will be at a later date in Centre County Memorial Park in State College, PA.
