Mr. Kanakry was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He was a navy veteran of World War II. Hap worked for the City of Pawtucket Water Department for many years before retiring. He was a member of the VFW, Gatchell Post and Saint Vincent de Paul Society. \r
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Mariann Falcetti and her husband Mark of Simi Valley, CA, a sister, Mary Saleem of Moosup, CT, two grandchildren, Karl Hayman and Nancy Ames, three great grandchildren, Brittaney, John, and Natalie Ames. He was the brother of the late Rose Azar. \r
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10AM in Saint Basil The Great Church, Skyview Drive. Lincoln. Burial will be in Saint Basil''s Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4-7pm in Saint Basil The Great Church. \r
