Rose A. Azar, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 17, 2009. She was the wife of the late Louis Azar.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Victoria (Tahan) Kanakry. Mrs. Azar was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
She was a sales clerk for the former Brooks Pharmacy, North Attleboro, MA for twenty years, retiring in 1989.
She was a former member of the Syrian Ladies Catholic Society. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra and Janice Azar, a son, John Azar, a brother, Habib Kanakry, a sister, Mary Saleem.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Basil The Great Church, Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial will be in Saint Basil's Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4-7pm.
