CATEGORY: Event TYPE: Obituary DATE: 29 Jan 2017 NOTE: Lillian Taksery, 88, of North Falmouth and Boca Raton, FL., passed away in Florida on January 29, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, MA, and raised in West Roxbury, Lillian graduated from Roslindale High School. She worked for many years as a senior claims adjuster at Continental Insurance Company until her retirement at the age of 55.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Beauchamp of Ottawa Canada, and Janet Khouri of North Falmouth and Boynton Beach, FL. She was also the loving sister of the late Freda Taksery and Demittry Taksery. Lillian loved visiting with her eleven nieces and nephews: Carol Bargoot of FL, Marion Khouri of Sandwich, Ralph Khouri of Marblehead, George Taksery of Walpole, Laura Veo of Acton, Loretta Borhi of Dover, Judi Sem of Walpole and George, Paul, Peter and Mark Beauchamp of Ottawa Canada. She will also be missed by her 24 great nieces and nephews.
Lillian wintered in Florida and spent her summers at Cape Cod, her second home for the past three decades. She belonged to a womens golf league and enjoyed spending time at the beach with her friends and family.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday February 4, 2017 from 10AM to 11AM in St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church, 62 Main Street, Cotuit, MA. A funeral service will follow at 11AM in the church. Burial will be in Great Neck Woods Cemetery, Mashpee, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church. PLAC: Marston Mills, MA
