PAWTUCKET, R.I. - George Ameen, 74, of Columbine Avenue, died Monday, Nov. 22, at home.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Louise H. (Bowab) Ameen; three daughters, including Judith Wilchynski of Westboro, Mass., Mary Benjamin of Shrewsbury, Mass.; two brothers; seven grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Ameen worked for Prudential Life Insurance Co., East Providence, for 30 years, retiring in 1979.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, in Church of St. Basil the Great, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, and 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rev. Michael Bowab Fund, c/o Katie Gannon, 2121 Commonwealth Ave., Brighton, MA 02135-3193 or to St. Basil's Building Fund, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln, R.I. 02865. William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, R.I., is directing arrangements.
