WARWICK Edward G. Mardo, 86, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011. He was the husband of the late Ann (Kahla) Mardo and Emily (Ameen) Mardo. Most recently, he was Ithe devoted companion eof curren Straube.
Born in [Central Falls, he was a son | of the late Elias and Julia (Berouty) hored, and abi stepson of the late Mary (Massud) Mardo.
Mr. Mardo was a World War II U. S. Army veteran. He was self-employed, managing his real estate property until his retirement.
He leaves a daughter, Shirley Hindy of Seekonk, MA; a son, Edward J. Mardo of Lincoln; three brothers, Joseph of Taunton, MA, Anthony of Warwick and Raymond of Haledon, NJ; four sisters, Annie Sadeck of Westport, MA, Eva Robat of North Providence, Antoinette Cushman of Cranston and Beatrice Mischler of Warwick and five grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Michael and Alfonse of Pawtucket, George of Burrillville and Josephine Robat of Lincoln.
VISITATION will be held Tuesday 9a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Basil the Great, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial will follow at St. Basil Cemetery, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to St.
Basil Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
