WEBSTER Robert W. Piehl, 86, formerly of Park St., died Saturday, Dec. 31, in Hubbard Regional Hospital. His wife of 36 years, Rose C. (Esposito) Piehl, died in 1977.
He leaves 2 daughters, Elaine, wife of Richard Langlois of Webster and Barbara, wife of John J. McNally III of Norfolk, VA; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janyce Weeks of Dayville, CT, in 1988.
He was born in Charlton, the son of Robert Piehl and Milda (Schur) Piehl Morrill. His father died before his birth; Robert was raised by his mother and her second husband. Wainwright Morrill.
He worked as a second class fireman at Anglo Fabrics Company for 18 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Louis Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday, January 5, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, at the funeral home
